Ben Nelson claims that he won’t vote for a bill that makes use of reconciliation, as if reconciliation is something out of the ordinary.
Ben Nelson was instrumental in passing the 1.3 trillion dollar tax cut for the rich (largely) in 2001, using reconciliation.

The health bill in the senate reduces the deficit, and costs in total roughly 60% of the amount the 2001 tax cut did.
I understand that Mr. Nelson must play to his voters, and Nebraska is still a republican state, though one of its electoral votes went blue this last year.
Lets see if there are any polls specific to Nebraska regarding health care.
