Paul Krugman on Conservative Maturity

Paul has an interesting op-ed in the New York Times published yesterday.

The Politics of Spite
“So what did we learn from this moment? For one thing, we learned that the modern conservative movement, which dominates the modern Republican Party, has the emotional maturity of a bratty 13-year-old.”

Paul Robin Krugman is an American economist, liberal columnist and author. He is Professor of Economics and International Affairs at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University, Centenary Professor at the London School of Economics, and an op-ed columnist for The New York Times. In 2008, Krugman won the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics for his contributions to New Trade Theory and New Economic Geography.

I am ashamed to admit that I have not read any of Paul’s books, as I’ve always come away with a good impression of his intellect after his appearances on the various political/news shows. Perhaps my reluctance stems from not wanting to make obvious how much I do not know, which reading his books may illustrate to me readily.

A couple of his books which I would like to read:
The Return of Depression Economics and the Crisis of 2008
The Conscience of a Liberal
Fuzzy Math: The Essential Guide to the Bush Tax Plan
