no surprise.
When has austerity EVER been the right move during a weak economy?

U.S. Has Second Lowest Corporate Taxes

During negotiations regarding raising the nation’s debt limit, congressional Republicans have defended tax loopholes for corporations, claiming that America has a high corporate tax rate that is stifling economic growth and job creation. But the Center for Tax Justice (CTJ) has crunched the most recent data from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Office of Management and Budget, and the Census Bureau, and finds that “the U.S. is already one of the least taxed countries for corporations in the developed world.”

Despite REALITY, republicans want more tax cuts and deregulation.

Less than 3 years after the biggest financial crisis in 100 years, republicans want more deregulation.

“Private-sector job growth continues to be undermined by the triple threat of higher taxes, more failed ‘stimulus’ spending, and excessive federal regulations. Together, these Washington policies have created a fog of uncertainty that’s left small businesses unable to hire and American families worried about the future,” said House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) in a statement today.

And despite giving away 3 trillion dollars in tax cuts, republicans want more tax cuts.
Which is not how you balance a budget.

Boehner is an idiot.
And conservatives who vote for this guy is worse.

Reviewing Amazon’s ALEC-driven agenda into our politics

A couple months ago, amazon announced that they were closing all california affiliate accounts in retaliation to a piece of legislation that would help the state balance its budget after the clown GOP governor left us in shambles.

Hello,
For well over a decade, the Amazon Associates Program has worked with thousands of California residents. Unfortunately, a potential new law that may be signed by Governor Brown compels us to terminate this program for California-based participants. It specifically imposes the collection of taxes from consumers on sales by online retailers – including but not limited to those referred by California-based marketing affiliates like you – even if those retailers have no physical presence in the state.
We oppose this bill because it is unconstitutional and counterproductive. It is supported by big-box retailers, most of which are based outside California, that seek to harm the affiliate advertising programs of their competitors. Similar legislation in other states has led to job and income losses, and little, if any, new tax revenue. We deeply regret that we must take this action.
As a result, we will terminate contracts with all California residents that are participants in the Amazon Associates Program as of the date (if any) that the California law becomes effective. We will send a follow-up notice to you confirming the termination date if the California law is enacted. In the event that the California law does not become effective before September 30, 2011, we withdraw this notice. As of the termination date, California residents will no longer receive advertising fees for sales referred to Amazon.com , Endless.com , MYHABIT.COM or SmallParts.com . Please be assured that all qualifying advertising fees earned on or before the termination date will be processed and paid in full in accordance with the regular payment schedule.
You are receiving this email because our records indicate that you are a resident of California. If you are not currently a resident of California, or if you are relocating to another state in the near future, you can manage the details of your Associates account here . And if you relocate to another state in the near future please contact us for reinstatement into the Amazon Associates Program.
To avoid confusion, we would like to clarify that this development will only impact our ability to offer the Associates Program to California residents and will not affect their ability to purchase from Amazon.com , Endless.com , MYHABIT.COM or SmallParts.com .
We have enjoyed working with you and other California-based participants in the Amazon Associates Program and, if this situation is rectified, would very much welcome the opportunity to re-open our Associates Program to California residents. We are also working on alternative ways to help California residents monetize their websites and we will be sure to contact you when these become available.
Regards,
The Amazon Associates Team

Amazon is not a constitutional lawyer.
A tea bagger knows more about the constitution.

Who benefits from online sales out of state?
FEDEX
UPS

Who loses?
The states do, as more and more goods are sold across state lines and they have to cut education or emergency services to compensate.

Amazon is a member of ALEC – a shady corporate group who’s taken to brazenly trying to influence our politics.
Why so brazen?

Maybe because the rightwing supreme court is giving corporate buttholes the tongue service with Citizen’s United.
The Robert’s court should be ashamed.
But they won’t be.
Conservatives never are.

Every time you see an Exxon advertisement – remember its YOUR tax money paying for it

8 billion dollars in corporate welfare to big oil every year.

How much of that do they spend on those advertisements I see constantly?
Judging from frequency of their commercials, I’d say there’s no industry doing better right now than big oil.
Followed by insurance or pharmaceuticals.

A former GOP with a lick of sense

go figure, another one who makes some sense.
Former, though.

“Does anyone not believe what’s happened here the last couple weeks in the market was not a complete, direct result of the lack of confidence that came out of that folly, that embarrassment?”

(referring to the debt ceiling crisis ginned up by republicans trying to force the middle class to pay for the republican wars and tax cuts for the wealthy.

25 Corporations Paid More To Their CEO Last Year Than They Paid In Taxes

While republicans continue to their war on reality, insisting that the corporate tax rate is too onerous despite all evidence to the contrary, including the latest report from ThinkProgress

Of last year’s 100 highest-paid corporate chief executives in the United States, 25 took home more in CEO pay than their company paid in 2010 federal income taxes.

If republicans wanted to help small business – that’s different.
I’d support that.

But republicans support big business when big business has everything.
Fuck republicans.

Conservatives in general are braindead if they vote republican.,

goldline, by the way – tends to sell coins at twice their value.
so if you do need to buy gold, don’t buy from them.

Conservative Propaganda – personalliberty.com

No doubt this is another newsmax site.

Check out their poll questions.

1. More than three years after the $700 billion dollar stimulus, unemployment and foreclosures are still at record highs. Is President Barack Obama most to blame for the lack of economic recovery?

The highlighted portion is false.
Not True.

3. President Obama’s proposed 2011 budget spends $3.73 trillion on infrastructure, high speed rail projects and other stimulus programs. Do you feel this will stimulate the economy and get American’s back to work?

The highlighted portion is LAUGHABLY false.
The ENTIRE BUDGET is 3.7 trillion.

After completing their entirely fake “survey”, you are immediately forwarded to a website with the famous scam layout (single very long page).

Republicans Against Science – Paul Krugman

From Nobel winning economist, Paul Krugman:

Mr. Perry, the governor of Texas, recently made headlines by dismissing evolution as “just a theory,” one that has “got some gaps in it” — an observation that will come as news to the vast majority of biologists.

Mr. Perry and those who think like him know what they want to believe, and their response to anyone who contradicts them is to start a witch hunt.

odds are that one of these years the world’s greatest nation will find itself ruled by a party that is aggressively anti-science, indeed anti-knowledge

Sensationalist Conservatives and their fiction

conservative hillbilly fact #1

Al gore said he created the internet. Hur! Al Gore’s so dumb!

reality ignored by conservative hillbillies:
“Actually, the vice president never claimed to have done so — but he did help the Net along. Some people would rather forget that.”
http://www.salon.com/technology/col/rose/2000/10/05/gore_internet

conservative hillbilly fact #2

Pelosi said We have to pass health reform before we know what’s in it! She didn’t even read the bill, Har!

reality ignored by conservative retards:
This out of context quote was Pelosi deriding the huge amount of stupidity and lies surrounding the health care debate – such as the 2010 lie of the year, “death panels”.

Reminding republicans about reality

Fact: when president Obama took office we were losing more than 700,000 jobs per month.
Fact: NOTHING, barring some impossible miracle could have turned that around immediately, which means that ANY president would have had the same unemployment record – except republicans would have let the AUTO INDUSTRY DIE – there goes MILLIONS of jobs. And republicans would not have passed the stimulus – another 3 million jobs. With a republican president instead of President Obama, we’d have 14% unemployment. Its simple math.
FACT: EVERY SINGLE TIME republicans whine about jobs, they are actually whining about the recession that started december 2007 – more than a year before president Obama took office.
FACT: republicans prevented every other economic measure offered by the democratic house of representatives under Nancy Pelosi after the stimulus was passed.
FACT: republicans were elected by hillbillies and medicated old folks that think fox is news.
FACT: NOTHING that republicans have proposed in a year since they were elected would positively affect our jobs situation.

In short, if your dumb conservative ass is whining about the president and the economy, you’re fucking stupid.

Conservatives – Is McCain a patriot? An american hero?

Yesterday, McCain and Lindsay Graham went out of their way to thank everyone but the president, who they then complained that it “took to long”.

baggers and mccain level stupids:
Libya – 1 billion dollars, 0 lives lost, 6 months
Afghanistan – 3 trillion dollars, 4,000 lives lost, 10 years
Iraq – 1 trillion dollars, 1,000 lives lost, 10 years

And then today, what do we find out?
Leaked Cable: McCain Promised Qaddafi To Help Secure Military Equipment From U.S.
McCain and grapham were licking Gaddafi butthole not that long ago.
