Fox Fck-ups

In the last week, we’ve had two clear cases of Fox misleading their viewers. But its far from rare that this is the case. Jon Stewart of the Daily Show called out Hannity for airing deceptive footage, claiming that the sparsely attended Nov 4 michelle bachmann rally was really the tea-party crowd. Embarrassing. The Daily [...]

So. I probably shouldn’t have automatically upgraded my theme. – The background I can get back. – The CSS title is still there on some browsers, but not all. + I have threaded comments now + The WP-PrettyPhoto lightbox gallery plugin is working again. – The slideshow script is broken. – lost the customization I [...]

Seeds in Deco Beads

The clear beads have a combination of four o’ clock and sweet pea seeds. Both seem to have sprouted, and rather quickly. The green beads are filled with… candytuft, and they just started sprouting. I should probably filter some of the water out of that one. I’ve seen a few seeds drop to the bottom [...]

Aeroponics

Aeroponics is a system developed by Nasa to be used in space, as there is no soil involved at all. This is a small system, but from reviews its relatively noisy. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=9863440&sourceid=1500000000000003260370&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=9863440 And there’s things like this: http://aeroponicsnmore.com/aeroponics-systems-c-3/rainforest-36-six-3-in-site-aeroponics-system-p-141 Apparently soil is becoming a thing of the past. Who knew.

Obama Bows again! Fox/Righty Tizzy?

There was a big fuss from the right last time Obama bowed to a foreign leader. Apparently we have some that think America is so superior that we dare not pay heed to our allies customs. But they apparently are ok with our previous president slippin’ some tonque to the saudi prince (something like that). [...]

Bonsai

I am going to attempt to grow a few bonsai trees. At least until I decide its too much trouble or too difficult. I ordered a few seeds recently, including: – Chinese Juniper The Chinese Juniper is a classic Bonsai. The Wisteria below would be fun, as they apparently are fragrant as well. Watch the [...]

Study links falling minimum wage to obesity

To clarify, the study speaks of “real” minimum wage, which accounts for inflation. When accounting for inflation, the article points out that: minimum wage was—measured in 2007 dollars—$9.15 in 1968 and dropped to around $5.80 in 2007 Big business and right-wingers fight the minimum wage, despite the fact that increasing the minimum wage would help [...]

Crazy Governer Perry

“This is an administration that I see punishing this state. I say it’s time for us to stand up. I say it’s time to make Tea Parties twice as big as what they were.” Rise up in populist retard anger as our president valiantly tries to clean up the mess handed to him. ThinkProgress.org has [...]
