This should make your blood boil

Republican governors are trying to rig the electoral college in their states ahead of the 2012 election. The GOP controls both houses of the state Legislature plus the governor’s mansion—the so-called “redistricting trifecta”—in Pennsylvania. Congressional district maps are adjusted after every census, and the last one just finished up. That means Pennsylvania Republicans get to [...]

Do conservatives have a single valid complaint about President Obama?

Help me out if you think you have heard a valid complaint. “he’s socialist” – plainly bullshit “I don’t like his spending” – its crap. Obama’s ONLY legislation that adds to the deficit is the stimulus – which is less than 1/3 the cost of the bush tax cuts by themselves. Conservatives have been trying [...]

They always do this. Every election. How are fox “news” viewers so stupid? More right-wing propaganda than usual?

Seems like it. And the reason for that may be summed up by the following quote. “Obama is on the ropes; why do we appear ready to hand him a win?” senior House Republican aide That is in reference to Obama’s proposed jobs plan – again republicans don’t care about the country. Republicans think they [...]

What does the United States get for our billions in giveaways to big Oil?

Aside from their propaganda campaigns, of course. From 2005 to 2010, Exxon, BP, Chevron, and Shell dumped 11,200 U.S. employees while raking in $546 billion in profits. http://thinkprogress.org/green/2011/09/09/315625/big-oil-kills-jobs-for-profits/ While we gave them approximate 40 billion (for being big oil), they dumped US employees and made over half a trillion dollars. Thats BULLSHIT.

IMPORTANT: Reflections of a GOP Operative Who Left The Cult

“To those millions of Americans who have finally begun paying attention to politics and watched with exasperation the tragicomedy of the debt ceiling extension, it may have come as a shock that the Republican Party is so full of lunatics.” “But the crackpot outliers of two decades ago have become the vital center today: Steve [...]

U.S. Has Second Lowest Corporate Taxes

During negotiations regarding raising the nation’s debt limit, congressional Republicans have defended tax loopholes for corporations, claiming that America has a high corporate tax rate that is stifling economic growth and job creation. But the Center for Tax Justice (CTJ) has crunched the most recent data from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), [...]

Despite REALITY, republicans want more tax cuts and deregulation.

Less than 3 years after the biggest financial crisis in 100 years, republicans want more deregulation. “Private-sector job growth continues to be undermined by the triple threat of higher taxes, more failed ‘stimulus’ spending, and excessive federal regulations. Together, these Washington policies have created a fog of uncertainty that’s left small businesses unable to hire [...]

Every time you see an Exxon advertisement – remember its YOUR tax money paying for it

8 billion dollars in corporate welfare to big oil every year. How much of that do they spend on those advertisements I see constantly? Judging from frequency of their commercials, I’d say there’s no industry doing better right now than big oil. Followed by insurance or pharmaceuticals.
